CO Architects Celebrates 40 Years!

CO Architects recently kicked off our 40th anniversary year with an afternoon devoted to celebrating the people that have helped shape the firm. Over the past four decades, CO has grown from a small group of architects to a 140-person multidisciplinary practice. This celebration gave us an opportunity to reflect on how far we have come and look ahead to the next chapter of CO.

The afternoon began with the presentation of The Carolina, a new annual award named in honor of Carolina Ziebell. Inspired by Carolina’s enthusiasm, kindness and passion for her work, the award recognizes a colleague who brings those same qualities to the office. Qiuju Chen is this year's winner, recognized for her dedication to her work and her ability to uplift the office with her kindness and enthusiasm.

Following the presentation, everyone gathered outside for a group picture, barbecue, drinks and desserts. Lawn games encouraged friendly competition and gave colleagues across the firm a chance to connect and enjoy a relaxed summer afternoon together. The CO swag station offered an opportunity for coworkers to show their creative side with notebook decorating.

The afternoon culminated in a game of CO Bingo, which invited coworkers to revisit moments from the firm's history. The game highlighted influential projects, memorable milestones and the people who brought them to life.

Over the past 40 years CO has continued to embrace innovation and change, while remaining anchored to a collaborative culture and commitment to delivering long-lasting projects. As we celebrate this milestone throughout the year, we look forward to sharing more memories, perspectives and stories from across the firm.
