Designer II

Required: Bachelor’s in Interior Architecture, or similar degree & 24 months experience in interior architectural design. In lieu of primary requirements employer will accept Master’s degree in Interior Architecture, or similar degree. Special Requirements: Must have demonstrated proficient knowledge of: REVIT, Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, Enscape, AutoCAD, Unity, Twinmotion, Sculptris, and Adobe Suites (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign). Employer will accept Special Requirements gained through employment experience and/or academic coursework. An architects’ license is not required. All work will be supervised by a licensed architect.

Duties: The Designer II performs the following interior architecture duties:

  • Prepares interior architectural plans, elevations and perspectives as required using various CAD design software;
  • Performs interior space planning; prepares graphic materials for presentations to clients;
  • Researches and recommends appropriate furniture, finishes and accessories;
  • Assists in preparation of furniture, furnishings and accessory budgets;
  • Prepares design development packages for production, in accordance with established standards;
  • Prepares study models utilizing various architecture related technologies including REVIT, Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, Enscape, AutoCAD, Unity, Twinmotion, Sculptris, and Adobe Suites (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign);
  • Reviews bids and contracts related to portion of project assigned to for content and accuracy for final review;
  • Researches alternative solutions for budget constraints;
  • Verification of design intent;
  • Reviews shop drawings for interior architectural design intent and reviews mock ups, materials, and finish samples submitted by project contractors;
  • Assists with implementation of approved programming approach;
  • Assists with preparation of design analysis and research, and prepares required documents (i.e., block studies, workstation standards, planning modules, stacking, etc.).

Salary Range: $72,100/Yr – $72,100/Yr
