The new Health Futures Center is adjacent to the Mayo Clinic Phoenix and supports the interdepartmental research and collaborative programs of Arizona State University and Mayo Clinic on a new campus, establishing a nexus of research, teaching, and meeting space to improve health outcomes in Arizona. CO masterplanned the new 24 acre campus and programmed and designed the new facility, which combines programs of ASU’s College of Health Solutions, College of Nursing & Health Innovation, and the Fulton Schools of Engineering, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, with programs of Mayo Clinic.
The building program is a unique blend of wet and dry research laboratories, simulation, workplace and meeting spaces. The design maximizes the amount of interdepartmental shared space to encourage a collaborative and creative environment. CO Architects: Programming & Design Architect; DFDG Architecture: Architect of Record.
“These investments in the health of our communities, in the robustness of our research, even the outlook of our planet — these are crucial steps toward a better future for all of us. The Health Futures Center and the incredibly innovative discoveries that happen within its walls will benefit all of us.”
