Engineering V, a modern, interdisciplinary engineering research center, enables sophisticated research conducted by departments within the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences: electrical, materials, aerospace, computer and mechanical engineering. It also houses the Institute for Cell Mimetic Space Exploration and the bioengineering department.
Its open floor plan – designed to encourage collaboration – provides an enriched experience for students. The five-story building contains classroom, seminar space and offices. Breakout space, lounges and open stairways encourage social interaction. Sustainable features include a cool roof, high-efficiency air handlers and operable office windows.
